Here’s why Purpose Physical Therapy’s unique treatment model can help to treat that old injury and prevent others.

At Purpose Physical Therapy, our mission is simple: to create treatment plans that work by taking account the unique needs and lifestyle of each patient. As therapeutic care becomes increasingly pricey and time-constrained, finding a tailored physical therapy plan that puts your needs first and tackles your unique situation can be difficult. That’s where Purpose Physical Therapy’s unique treatment model comes in. Dr. Ken Clark, our founder and physical therapist, took some time to explain the circumstances and needs that drove him to come up with Purpose’s one-of-a-kind model and philosophy. Find out what he has to say below.

A Changing Industry

I have been a physical therapist going on 4 years now. I’ve already seen first-hand the changes that have occurred in healthcare over the last several years. Insurance premiums continue to rise on the side of the patient, and reimbursements from insurance providers continue to decrease year after year, including with the announcement of the most recent 9% therapy payment cuts by the CMS (Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services). This is a recipe that lends itself to challenges for both the patient and the physical therapist as patient satisfaction and outcomes decrease.

Have you ever been to a traditional physical therapy clinic for pain, post surgery, or after an injury and felt rushed? Maybe your physical therapist was seeing 2, 3, or even 4 patients at the same time. This is due to those factors mentioned earlier. In addition, patients are asked to be in therapy up to 2-3 times per week for several weeks which can become time consuming, daunting, and expensive even with health insurance.

In the traditional insurance-based model, the goal is to get the patient feeling better, but maybe not completely satisfied or pain free. This is a huge problem because these third-party payors (insurance companies) get to dictate your care without having your best interests in mind.

An Inspired Solution

This is why I decided to create a better solution and a proven model to better serve my patients.

Purpose is Mobile Physical Therapy and Wellness. With Purpose, you will receive a full hour of one-on-one care with a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy that is 100% specific to you with the guidance and service that you truly deserve.

It is my mission to provide distinctive physical therapy and wellness that maximizes your time, provides a first-class experience, and helps unlock your full physical potential at the convenience of your own home or office. You now can have your own personal physical therapist available to you whenever you need.
