Dr. Diego Dorta

Dr. Diego Dorta

PT, DPT, CSCS

Born in Miami, Florida, I moved to the Seattle area at a young age. There, I grew up playing football, baseball, and basketball, and sports remain my greatest passion today. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Human Physiology with a minor in Spanish from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington.

I then remained in Spokane to earn my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Eastern Washington University. After spending many years in the Pacific Northwest, I am excited to be back to my roots in Florida!

I hold a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree and am a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). I have experience treating patients of all ages and activity levels, with a primary focus in sports and orthopedics. I have worked with athletes across all levels of competition, including Division I and professional athletes, treating everything from acute injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and return-to-sport progressions.

Core Values

Faith, Family, Gratitude, Discipline, and Resilience

“Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t–you’re right.” -Henry Ford

One of the biggest challenges people face is feeling limited by pain or injuries. I am passionate about helping people regain their confidence and return to the activities they enjoy most. Whether it’s playing a sport, spending time with family, or staying active, my goal is to help people get back to doing what they love.

As a physical therapist, I enjoy helping people move better, feel stronger, and achieve their goals. While I work with patients of all ages and activity levels, I have a particular passion for helping athletes and active individuals recover from injuries and return to competition.

I particularly enjoy treating tendinopathies. Having experienced tendon injuries myself, I understand how frustrating and limiting they can be. I enjoy helping patients navigate the rehabilitation process and return to their activities with confidence.

What I enjoy most about working here is the welcoming environment and the shared commitment to growth. Everyone is dedicated to providing exceptional care while continually learning and improving, which creates a positive experience for both patients and myself.

Outside the clinic, I enjoy spending time with my wife, exploring St. Petersburg and relaxing at the beach. I also love playing tennis, golf, and basketball whenever I can. As a lifelong sports fan, you’ll usually find me watching a game when I’m not out staying active myself.
